Virtual Learning Support for Parents and Students

The Virtual Learning Support page is the go-to resource for students and parents in Fort Worth ISD. The page and resources are designed to help parents and students navigate virtual instruction.    The Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) are designed to give clear, step-by-step directions for completing common tasks within various applications.  In addition to the QRGs, helpful videos are provided to walk parents and students through the applications used for virtual learning.   For students who have received a district-issued device, several resources are available to help parents and students with technical issues. The goal is to ensure that parents and students have the knowledge and technology skills needed for success during virtual learning. Course Design: Teacher Leadership and School Change

For LTEC 6020: Advanced Instructional Design: Models and Strategies, I designed a course for higher education. The purpose of the course is to familiarize educators with theories and research related to leadership and school improvement such as characteristics, styles, and functions of leadership as well as the influence of teacher leaders on school culture.  A primary focus of the course is the opportunity for students to explore, develop, and demonstrate leadership practices in order to facilitate school improvement.  The course design document includes  (a) the goals, objectives and scope of the unit, (b) the target learners, (c) the instructional approach taken, (d) a detailed justification for that approach, (e) learning resources and activities, and (f) formative and summative assessments.

Game-Based Learning Infographic

For LTEC 6310:  Digital Game-Based Learning, I created an infographic to help educators better understand the potential of digital games in education.  The infographic was created using Canva.  Infographics use images, videos, and minimal text to provide an easy-to-understand overview of a given topic.  By using engaging visuals, infographics allow users to share information quickly and clearly.
